On, Tuesday, May 13, 2008
students at Zone Township Central School participated in NATIONAL
DENIM DAY! National Denim Day is held on the Tuesday follwing Mother’s Day, and is a fun and simple way to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer. Students wore denim and/or a
“pink flower” ribbon for a monetary donation to the CURE
Foundation. The students brought in their loose change and raised $162.73.
Way to go Crusaders! The money combined with the money students raised on
"Wacky Hair Day" totalled The CURE Foundation is a national, non-profit organization that provides funding for breast cancer research and awareness. All funds raised enable the CURE Foundation to support research and technology in order to provide the means for early breast cancer detection, prevention and, one day, a Cure. Over 10 years ago, CURE inaugurated NATIONAL DENIM DAY, its main fundraiser.
