On Tuesday, May 12, 2009 students and staff at Zone Township Central School participated in CURE foundation's  NATIONAL DENIM DAY, and raised

$209.73.

National Denim Day is held on the Tuesday following Mother's Day, and is a fun and simple way to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer.

Staff and students were encouraged to wear denim and received CURE's "pink flower" ribbon (or sticker for the primary grades) in exchange for a monetary donation.  Income Tax receipts were issued for donations of $20.00 or more.

Founded in October 1996, CURE is a national foundation that provides funding for basic and clinical research of breast cancer.  The Foundation supports researchers, laboratories and the purchase of equipment that can help realize these goals.  CURE has raised over 16 million dollars since its inception.  National Denim Day has benefited thousands of people faced with the devastating effects of breast cancer.

Help make a difference and join us in the fight against breast cancer.
